About Out Institute
The Institution is established in the year 1986 at Barpali in the District of Bargarh, the Birth place of Late Genius poet “Gangadhar Meher” by an eminent and enlightened governing body with member of divergent abilities to meet the challenges of health care education and to carter the need of rural population in particular. The Institute has aimed for development of Pharmacy professional in the society. The Institution is affiliated & approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, Odisha State Board of Pharmacy, Odisha & Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha.
The Pharmaceutical College, a pharmacy Institution aims at imparting quality pharmacy education and Programme and forging the youth in to formidable force to carter the need of the nation “Health for All” over a period of two decades, it has come to symbolized truest sprit of dedication to the task of maintaining a standard of pharmacy education which can be started as being second to none.
In the year 2003, the Institute has shifted to a new campus situated at Tingipali, 4 K.M. away from Barpali beside N.H. 26. The campus is situated in a single piece of land of 5.52 acres having a pleasant infrastructure having academic and administrative building along with Principal’s Quarter, Guest Rooms, staff Quarters, girls’ hostel as residential facilities in the campus. The campus is located in pollution free environment, beautiful and natural surrounding with temple of ‘Maa Samaleswari’.
The Pharmaceutical College, Barpali is imparting Degree and Diploma courses in Pharmacy with intake capacity 60 each. The Institute also offers 2 years PG course in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in three specializations of ‘Pharmaceutics’, ‘Pharmacology’ and ‘Pharmacognosy’ with an intake capacity of 18 seats, 18 seats & 10 seats respectively. We have already installed CCTV cameras as per the need of BPUT to monitor and discipline in examinations as well as throughout the campus to monitor the day to day affairs for security purpose. We are providing digital classrooms for our students for modern teaching methodology.
A specified Dress code has been followed for students to an active feeling and sense of equality among themselves.
The Institution has as an excellent central library with provision for separate staking area and reading hall. We have given top most priority to upgrade library. Currently, we have around 12306 Books and 23 National and 6 International research journals and one e-journal subscribed in this current year.
The Institute is having 04 buses to carry staff and students from Barpali town to College and vice-versa. The Institute has 05 Boy’s hostel in town and 02 Girl’s hostel in the college campus. For emergency health problem, one vehicle has been provided to meet the requirement of girl’s students for health checkup during night time. Recently, we are planning to construct 200 bedded Boys Hostel inside our college campus.

Our Institute organizing health camp and blood donation camp for the larger benefit of the poor and needy people of the society and also involve in various social welfare activities.
The Placement Cell has been activated and students are placed in different sectors like 108 Ambulance Service, production and marketing, etc. We have kept our further plan to open other relevant programmes linked to Pharmacy and medical sciences.
The Institution already implemented Gratuity and group insurance to all employees for their retirement & other benefits. As per norms of AICTE, we have already MOU with five Industries for benefits of our students. The Institution successfully completed seminars, Yoga programme and also providing industrial training for the benefits of the students.
